Senior, Military, Access & 4th Grade Passes

The Annual Pass offered on this website is just one of several Pass options available. If you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident age 62 or older, have a permanent disability, are a current U.S. Military member, Gold Star Family member, veteran or are a student in the 4th grade, you may qualify for other passes. For more information contact your local participating Federal recreation site.


Senior Lifetime Park Pass
  • For U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 or over.
  • May be obtained in person at a federal recreation site.
  • Provides entrance or access to pass owner and accompanying passengers in a single, private, non-commercial vehicle at Federal operated recreation sites across the country.
  • Photo identification may be required to verify ownership.
  • Passes are NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERABLE, and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

Senior Annual Park Pass
  • For U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 or over.
  • May be obtained in person at a federal recreation site.
  • Provides entrance or access to pass owner and accompanying passengers in a single, private, non-commercial vehicle at Federal operated recreation sites across the country.
  • Photo identification may be required to verify ownership.
  • Passes are NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERABLE, and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

A Free Lifetime Park Pass
  • A free, lifetime pass – available to U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the United States that have been medically determined to have a permanent disability (does not have to be a 100% disability).
  • May be obtained free in person at a federal recreation site.
  • Provides entrance or access to pass owner and accompanying passengers in a single, private, non-commercial vehicle at Federal operated recreation sites across the country.
  • Photo identification may be required to verify ownership.
  • Passes are NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERABLE, and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

Military Annual Park Pass
  • The Military-Annual Pass is available to current members of the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force, and National Guard with valid DoD CAC card and dependents of current U.S. military members with valid DD Form 1173 or Next Generation USID Dependent Card.
  • May be obtained in person at a federal recreation site.
  • Provides entrance or access to pass owner and accompanying passengers in a single, private, non-commercial vehicle at Federal operated recreation sites across the country.
  • Photo identification may be required to verify ownership.
  • Passes are NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERABLE, and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

Military Lifetime Park Pass
  • The Military-Lifetime Pass is available to Gold Star family members and U.S. military veterans.
  • Gold Star family members must download and print a voucher to exchange for the pass.
  • Veterans must present one of the following IDs: Unexpired Department of Defense Identification Card (DD Form 2, DD Form 2765, or Next Generation USID replacement), Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC), Veteran ID Card, or a Veterans designation on a state-issued U.S. driver’s license or identification card.
  • Provides entrance or access to pass owner and accompanying passengers in a single, private, non-commercial vehicle at Federal operated recreation sites across the country.
  • Photo identification may be required to verify ownership.
  • Passes are NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERABLE, and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

Free for U.S. 4th Graders
  • Free for U.S. 4th graders including home-schooled and free-choice learners with a printed voucher from the Every Kid Outdoors website are eligible for the pass.
  • Pass is valid from September through August of the year that the student is in the 4th grade.
